Schwarzman Scholars is a highly selective international scholarship program designed to prepare future leaders for success in a world where China plays a key global role. The program is designed to help future leaders meet the challenges of the 21st century and beyond by preparing them to better understand China's culture, economy, governance, and evolving role in the world. Up to 200 Scholars chosen annually from around the world for this fully-funded program will have the opportunity to live in Beijing for a year of study and cultural immersion, attend lectures, travel, and gain first-hand exposure to China, its people, and a global group of promising leaders. The curriculum was developed in collaboration with academic leaders from Harvard, Yale, Oxford, Duke and other prestigious universities around the world. All courses will be taught in English and are designed specifically for an elite class of students, drawing on some of Tsinghua University’s most accomplished professors as well as visiting scholars from the world’s leading schools.
Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a mentoring program linking them to business, political and civil society leaders and through internships with global and national institutions and corporations based in Beijing.
