The Get a DAM Passport program awards $175 scholarships to high financial need undergraduate students in their first year at OSU to obtain a first-time U.S. passport. Scholarships cover the cost of U.S. passport fees and photos. With the receipt of this scholarship, students may open up new doorways to international academic experiences worldwide.
Our office directly supports passport grant recipients to study abroad through access to a self-paced Canvas course, coordination with OSU GO, and application help for scholarships.
This scholarship is funded by one-time grants from the Institute of International Education and matched by the OSU Internationalization Grant. In 2024, we received a grant from the Women's Giving Circle and matching funds from the Office of the Provost and private donors to continue offering this scholarship to eligible undergraduate OSU Beavers.

A U.S. passport is your ticket to international travel. The U.S. passport is a request to foreign governments to permit you to travel or temporarily reside in their territories and have access to lawful local aid and protection. The passport allows you access to U.S. consular services and assistance while abroad. Most importantly, it allows you to re-enter the United States upon your return home.
The Department of State issues U.S. passports to traveling U.S. citizens. U.S. passports are proof of U.S. citizenship at home and around the world.
